Back from the White City

from The Labs

You may have noticed the blog being a little quiet lately. It is no accident, we were away on a mission and then a much needed break.

Our mission: to bring Buddy, the cute little Finnish Spitz puppy we’ve blogged about recently to his new home in Mérida, Yucatan to live with his new parents (my parents).

Our much needed break: a week in the incomparable Mayan Riviera, where we ate, drank and slept lulled by the crystal blue water and encountered amazing creatures such as a Whale Shark and many, many sea turtles (more to come on that soon).

I am happy to report our mission was a success! Our little foxy baby is now a happy resident of the White City known as Mérida, Yucatan; and is adored by his new family and loved by a plethora of new friends, many of which are kids and a yellow lab named Bolillo.

In the next few days, I’ll be catching up on my writing and will be releasing the next part in our Canine Behavior blog series, as well as revealing new projects, getting back into the 52 Weeks Project loop and some other surprises planned as we get ready to welcome my ultimate favorite season of all: fall.

In the meantime, I leave you with some images from our trip. Have a great rest of your week!

The journey begins! Buddy and I on our way to the airport.

Upon arriving, Buddy wasted no time in making new friends.

One of Bud's new best friends: a yellow lab named Bolillo!

While Buddy seemed to have no problem adopting his new way of life...

...we got some much needed r+r by the ocean waves.

We absorbed my gorgeous country of Mexico in food and drink.

and a week later came back to Merida to be with family and see Buddy.

We are happy to report that he is deliriously happy in his new home, and that thunderstorms don't seem to bug him at all.
